Four kilometres down the road from Wimbe Beach in the northern gateway port town of Pemba is the lovely Camp Cashew, also known as Russell's Place, with clean and secluded beach just opposite the gate.

Russell's rustic-looking campsite is centered around the "Blackfoot Bar" built around two large cashew trees. The facilities are bush style with hot water, restaurant and bar, tourist information and booking service, lots of laid back atmosphere and good security. From the gate, past two large baobab trees, it is only 80 meters walk to the beach.

ACCOMMODATION:
Camp Cashew offers secure camping area, tent hire, 4 chalets, dorm beds, laundry service and small mechanical workshop.

ACTIVITIES:
You can follow your favourite sports from DSTV while enjoying hot pizza made in our pizza oven. A pool table and a volley ball court are available, but you can also break a sweat just laying on the beach. Ice cold beer and soft drinks ease the hectic pace of another day in paradise.

Russell's Place's 2006 rates range from $8.00 (dormitory), $6.00 (camping p.p. own tent), $35.00 (Bungalow On Suite) (Three to four persons possible)

The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.(Local traditional food most evenings - Buffet style)
